Concept

Even though it is a very good chance to have a good waterfront public space, most of times when docking facilities are made for ferry terminal, there is lack of waterfront space and activities. It is mainly because the industrial-like atmosphere and the out-of-human-scale development push out public access.

The form of Ring gives us a chance of creating a third space that is distinguished from the rest of the context, yet has possibility to be linked back to the context. By creating the Ring at the border between water and the land, it is possible to generate new waterfront activities as well as water sports and leisure.
