In the fine line between research and fashion lies the concept for FIGUREGROUND. Motivated to make information gather transparent, public, and accessible, the Boston design firm PRAUD developed the idea that information can be displayed and gathered through the use of t-shirts. By placing FIGUREGROUND mapping of major cities on t-shirts, people can become conscious of the metropolitan condition, and compare urban form and growth between cities.
